Great God in heaven and on earth, send your Holy Spirit to embrace us today as we seek to do your will as followers of Jesus Christ. Lift us up when we are tired. Give us joy when we become discouraged. Provide strength in times of trouble. We know we can do nothing good apart from your glorious presence so remain close to us, O Lord. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

I believe in God the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth;
And in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord:
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, dead, and buried;

and sitteth at the right hand of God the Father Almighty;
from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church,
