MUSIC MINISTRY

Music at Benson Memorial UMC

Our music ministry is a vital part of worship at Benson Memorial. Even if you have never played music or sang before, the Chancel Chimes, Chancel Choir, and Justice Choir would love to have you join us! All music, equipment, and instruction is provided; now what we need is you! Please reach out to our Director of Music Ministries Annie Roncolato with questions.

Chancel Choir

Thursdays, 4:45 PM, Sanctuary

Experience the joy of singing with the Chancel Choir this year! Music brings such joy and satisfaction to our lives, and as music is one of God’s many gifts, could you imagine life without it? Everyone has a unique and valuable voice to share, even if you have never sung with a group before. New voices are always welcomed. No experience is needed, just a curious mind! Please email Director Annie Roncolato.

Chancel Chimes

Sundays, 12:15 PM, Sanctuary

Chancel Chimes is open to anyone who is interested in playing hand chimes in an instrumental ensemble. The group plays in worship services about once a month. To join, email Director Annie Roncolato. The ability to read music is not required. We'd love to have you!

Justice Choir

Sundays in Summer, 11:15 PM, Sanctuary

The Justice Choir sings songs that advocate for justice, the full inclusion of all God’s children, racial and economic equity, and responsible stewardship of the earth. This choir sings during summer worship services at Benson Memorial. This is an especially welcoming group that is easy to join with no singing or musical skills required! We don't wear robes, and we rehearse very simple songs only briefly before and after each worship service.
